Homemade raw protein balls

Sports nutrition products provide a convenient solution to the issue of accessing appropriate foods before, during or after exercise. If you want to save some pennies on expensive protein bars, this is a quick, no fuss, and great tasting recipe which provides both carbohydrate, protein and healthy fats – perfect for recovery after a hard session.

 (Makes 10-12 balls)

80g Meridian Almond butter (peanut or cashew also works well)

70g agave honey

1 scoop of vanilla protein powder

45g porridge oats

* To reduce the sugar content of this snack, replace half the agave honey with a sufficient amount of almond milk to bind the ingredients together.


Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and form into walnut-sized balls. Place the balls in the fridge until they harden. Enjoy 2-3 balls after a hard session in the gym.
