Quark contains less fat than most creamy cheeses is a rich source of protein, high in calcium, vitamin A and B vitamins. This makes it an excellent choice for anyone managing their weight or looking for an alternative to cream cheese.
How do I use it?
Mix quark with some of your favourite berries and chopped almonds. Add a teaspoon of honey and mix.
Pan fry mushrooms with garlic. Remove the mushrooms from the pan and mix in some rocket and Quark. Serve on toast. This also makes a delicious topping for a baked sweet potato.
Cook pasta shapes in a large pan with a vegetable stock cube. In a frying-pan, fry off a chopped red onion and garlic. Add a can of chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes. Drain the pasta and return to the pan. Mix in chopped fresh spinach, Quark and the tomato sauce.
